The 36th Annual SAE Brake Colloquium took place October 14th through the 17th in Palm Desert, California. Exhibitors and attendees from all over the automotive braking industry gathered at North America’s premier brake event to discover the latest trends in brake science and technology, and to showcase new products and solutions. A number of technical sessions were held throughtout the event, including such topics as the advancement of autonomous driving and how brake technology would play a part in AEB – Automatic Emergency Braking, for enhanced safety.
Members of Otsuka Chemical America and Otsuka Chemical Corporation participated as exhibitors to promote TISMO and TERRACESS brand of advanced potassium titanate products. A large number of visitors approached the booth wanting to learn more about Otsuka’s specialized friction material. Overall, the event was quite active, with many attendees crowding the exhibition hall. Next year’s event will be held September 22nd – 25th in Orlando, Florida.
